Event Report: 2025 Spring Global Talk Hour
2025 Spring Global Talk Hour Kicks Off with a Record 76 Pairs
The Global Talk Hour for the 2025 spring semester, organized by the Global Education Center, began on May 19th. This program aims to facilitate one-on-one interactions between exchange students and Chukyo University students, fostering cross-cultural understanding through the use of the exchange students’ native languages. This semester, a record-high 76 pairs are participating. Chukyo University students who took part commented that “exposure to diverse languages and cultures improved my communication skills” and “I want to deepen my exchange further and challenge myself to study abroad.” Exchange students also shared their impressions, saying “I made new Japanese friends,” “I am glad that we learned from each other, which motivated Chukyo University students to study abroad,” and “I was able to gain a deeper understanding of Japanese culture.” The program has proven to be highly meaningful for both exchange and Chukyo University students.
