University of Siena, Russia 2025

SAMOILENKO, ALEKSANDR (Apr. 2025 - Aug. 2025)

1. Why did you decide to come study in Japan and choose Chukyo University?

I've been studying Japanese language since high school and studied it (as well as Japanese culture, history, literature etc) at the University as my major for five years. So I really wanted to visit it and live here for a long time in order to deeply understand it's daily life, practice and improve my Japanese and obtain Japanese friends! Chukyo university was one of three universities I've chosen and I really happy that I ended up here and in Nagoya in general!

2. How do you think you have matured through your studies at Chukyo? Please share your experiences, events, or feelings while studying at Chukyo University.

The main thing is that I've really improved my Japanese language here and learned a lot of new stuff about it! I've also enjoyed a lot of activities and events with VOICE members which was really fun! From playing switch games to making uchiwa, everything was filled with fun and joy! I really appreciate what guys made for us, exchange students!

3. How do you hope to make use of this experience in the future?

I'll cherish all the memories I've made and try to find job as a Japanese teacher to share my knowledge and experience with other people and spread love to Japanese language among many people!

4. Finally, please give a message to juniors who are considering studying at Chukyo University in the future.

Don't be scared or worry about anything! Chukyo stuff and VOICE members are very supportive and help you at literally at every step of the way! And you always have other amazing students by your side so you'll never feel lost, I promise!
