Exchange Students Explore History and Culture in Inuyama City
On September 10, the Global Experience Center hosted a "Discover Nagoya & Japan" tour in Inuyama City for our exchange students. Joined by members of VOICE, an international exchange student organization, the students connected immediately, filling the journey with lively conversation and warm interaction even before reaching their destination. During the trip, the exchange students fully immersed themselves in Japanese history and culture as they explored the iconic Inuyama Castle—a designated National Treasure—and strolled through the charming historic castle town. From the top floor of the castle keep, students were treated to breathtaking panoramic views of the Kiso River and the surrounding cityscape, sparking cheers of excitement. In the castle town, they also experienced Japan's rich food culture, sampling traditional sweets and local treats along the way. Chukyo University will continue to organize diverse cultural events to help our exchange students experience Japan firsthand and enjoy a truly fulfilling study abroad journey.
