Exchange Student's Story: Fencing player from Taiwan
Ms. Fu Tzu-Ching, an exchange student and a fencing player representing Taiwan
Fu Tzu-Ching, an athlete representing Taiwan in fencing, came to Japan in September 2023 as an exchange student from Ming Chuan University in Taiwan, our partner university. In high school, she devoted herself to fencing, practicing during the day and studying at night. She entered Ming Chuan University with good results in both fencing and academics. She decided to study abroad to pursue her own goals, and she is now studying and playing fencing at Chukyo University.
The strategies for a split-second attack draw her to fencing. She enjoys the team activities at Chukyo, saying that "teammates are very kind and friendly." Although it is challenging to balance academics and sports, she tries her best not to get stressed out and to take some time off when she feels tired.
Ms. Fu loves Japanese culture and hopes to visit Akihabara and Kyoto during her stay in Japan. After graduation, she plans to use her Japanese language skills and work in Taiwan.
