University of Tartu, Estonia 2025Fall

KAN MILANA (Sep. 2025 - Feb. 2026)

1. Why did you decide to come study in Japan and choose Chukyo University?

Good university faculties, buddy program, location in Nagoya.

2. How do you think you have matured through your studies at Chukyo? Please share your experiences, events, or feelings while studying at Chukyo University.

Yes! I was amazed by the hospitality of VOICE members and Japanese people in general. I have never felt so comfortable, welcomed, and safe in any country. GEC office really helped me socialize with both Japanese students and international students through all fun events and activities. GEC was a fun and safe area for me, when you can come, talk to people, and have fun!

3. How do you hope to make use of this experience in the future?

I'm planning to look up to behavior that Japanese students showed me and be more open and kind to people like they were to us. I will try to be as optimistic as they are!

4. Finally, please give a message to juniors who are considering studying at Chukyo University in the future.

This university is a really good place to experience Japan. It's best. At first I was sad that I didn't go to Tokyo for exchange, but I was really wrong. Nagoya made me feel welcomed way more than Tokyo. It's less busy, university doesn't put pressure on you and supports you on every step (they are gonna answer even to your stupidest questions and always will try to make everything work out for you). The university faculties are really modern and just huge, I spend a lot of time in both GEC office where you can just come and talk to people (both Japanese students and other international students), library, and LEON cafeteria with a really tasty and cheap meals. VOICE members also organize a lot of events, so you won't get bored. Come to Chukyo University!
