Event Report: Global Talk Hour Spring 2026
Connecting Cultures: Chukyo University Welcomes Record Participation in "Global Talk Hour"
Since its launch in 2023, "Global Talk Hour" has become one of the most popular student programs at Chukyo University, often reaching full capacity each semester.
Organized by the Global Experience Center, the program pairs Chukyo students with exchange students for language exchange and cultural learning. The Spring 2026 semester saw our highest participation to date, with 93 student pairs taking part.
Following an orientation meeting in May, the partners spent five weeks meeting across campus. They talked about various topics, from travel memories to daily life in their home countries, overcominginitial nervousness and building built meaningful friendships across borders.
The Global Experience Center will continue to support such programs to help students deepen their international exchange experiences on campus.
