Event Report: International Event at Chukyo University affiliated high school
Exchange Students Inspire Local High Schoolers in an Intercultural Exchange Event
On July 1st, as part of the educational partnership between Chukyo University and its affiliated high school, 30 of our international exchange students visited Chukyo University Senior High School.
This event was held for 1st and 2nd-year students in the International Course. It offered a great opportunity for the high school students to practice the language and communication skills they learn in class, allowing both sides to learn from each other while enjoying international exchange.
The classrooms were filled with energy as students broke into small groups. The exchange students introduced their home countries' cultures and daily lives, and the high school students listened carefully, discovering diverse cultures from around the world.
At the same time, this was a special experience for our exchange students as well. They learned about real Japanese high school life directly from the students. By talking about their daily routines and traditions, everyone gained a better and deeper understanding of each other's cultural backgrounds.
Following the classroom sessions, high school student volunteers guided the exchange students on a tour of their school facilities. This wrapped up a valuable day where both the international and local students learned more about each other's educational environments and cultures.
Chukyo University will continue to utilize its high school-university framework to provide active international exchange opportunities that help students grow as global citizens.
