Event Report: Farewell Party 7/25/25

Farewell Party Sends Off Exchange Students

On Friday, July 25, Chukyo University held a Farewell Party in Yamate Hall to send off the exchange students returning home after completing their spring-semester studies at Chukyo. A total of 97 people participated, including 35 exchange students and 62 Chukyo students. Planned by VOICE, our international exchange volunteer group, the event featured a sugoroku-style memory game that sparked lively conversations

As the host, the Global Education Center recognized exchange students who actively took part in numerous international exchange events during the spring semester, presenting them with a “Certificate of Best Attendance.” The awards honored their contributions to expanding Chukyo students’ international exchange experiences and deepening intercultural understanding through cross-cultural interaction, and the room filled with warm applause.

In the second half, participants watched a “memories” video reflecting on the many events they had shared. VOICE members then surprised the exchange students with shikishi (decorative message boards) that they had secretly prepared. There were smiles, surprised gasps, and even a few tears as students wrote messages to one another in the open spaces on the shikishi. We look forward to seeing them spread their wings across the globe, carrying their Chukyo University experiences with them.
